Downloading FSSP for OS X

FSSP for OSX includes an extensive and generic model to predict growth of microorganisms in food. By entering specific sets of cardinal parameter values this model can be used to predict growth of various microorganisms at constant and fluctuating temperature, pH and lactic acid conditions.

FSSP for OS X was developed using the Mono framework. This means that in order to run the application you must have the Mono runtime environment installed. If you do not already have the Mono framework installed a link to Mono download page is given below. Mono for Mac OS X is available as a Mac Package (.pkg), FSSP for OS X has been tested with the "Mono 32-bit" package.

The FSSP application for OSX is downloaded as a PKG installation file. This file should be downloaded and then executed. In order to install the application you will be prompted to enter administrator credentials. Once executed the PKG installation file will walk you through the installation process.

Mono has supported MacOS X since version 10.3 (Panther) and supports both Intel and PowerPC based versions with both 32 bits and 64 bits configuration supported.
